List of Telecom Products Subject to Homologation - Revision

On February 25, Autoridad de Fiscalización y Regulación de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes (ATT) published an updated List of Equipment Subject to Homologation. Compared with the list published on January 28, 2026, the following key changes are summarized below:

1.FM/AM receivers added – The new list explicitly includes FM/AM broadcastreceivers, homologation remains applicable for vehicle equipment within integratedradio functionality.

2.New IoT category introduced – A dedicated IoT category now covers LoRaWAN,RFID, and SRD technologies. However, the applicable frequency bands remain unclear,particularly for devices fall under the SRD classification.

3.“Low power transmitter” category remains removed – The previous subcategory hasbeen eliminated, potentially affecting certification pathways for Bluetooth, NFC andsimilar low-power RF devices.

4.New “Transceivers and Transmitters” category – This includes a “Mobile/ PortableDigital Transceiver” subcategory, which may allow continued certification of certain Wi-Fi equipment. However, confirmation from the authority is still awaited.

5.Applications submitted on or after February 25 will be processed under the new list.

Updated List of Telecom Products Subject to Homologation –Future Changes Possible

Following the news released on February 4, 2026, regarding the Updated List of Equipment Subject to Homologation, we were informed through informal discussions with an ATT engineer that the new list is currently under internal review due to identified inconsistencies and the possible omission of several equipment categories.

During this review period, ATT continues to accept and process homologation applications based on the previous list. A corrected version of the new list is expected to be released once revisions are finalized.

ATT Certificate validity increased to 10 years

ATT (Autoridad de Regulación y Fiscalización de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes) published new resolution, ATT-DJ-RAR-TL LP 539/2024, on December 1, 2024. The main change is that the validity of Type Approval Certificate has been increased to 10 years. Previously, the validity was 5 years. The new resolution is enforced from its publication date.
