Validity of Type Approval Certificates issued by NICTA of Papua New Guinea became 3 years/updates

Following our news updates in September about the validity of type approval Certificates, Authority of Papua New Guinea NICTA recently decided that type approval certificates issued prior to year of 2022 and not listed on the Certified product list of online TA system are considered expired and renewal is required.

As for type approval certificates issued between year of 2022 to June 2025 and listed on the Certified product list of the online TA system will be valid for 3 years. Authority will re-issue certificates with 3-year validity.

Validity of Type Approval Certificates issued by NICTA of Papua New Guinea became 3 years

Authority of Papua New Guinea National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) started to issue type approval certificates with 3-year validity since June, 2025 based on the provision of “ICT Equipment Type Approval Rule 2022”.

Previously issued type approval certificates without expiry date will remain valid until NICTA’s further notice.
