CST transferred the conformity approval process to the SABER Platform on February 12, 2025.

Technical Regulation for Communications and Information Technology equipment, published by the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) in the Official Gazette of 08/16/2024 AD, transferred the conformity approval process for telecommunications and IT devices to SABER platform under SASO management from The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST).

In the Official Gazette, Article (11), Transitory provision, Section 1, a period is given to suppliers to rectify their positions in the market, following the requirements of this technical regulation, within a period not exceeding 365 days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, which is August 15, 2025. All devices should be re-evaluated based on the HS code of the product, no matter your device was exempted or still with valid CST certificate.

The main changes of this transition:

1. The CST type approval platform has been closed and can't be accessed.

2. Applications require the importer local registered account in the SABER platform.

3. The manufacture provides HS codes of the product to search for the certification requirements, IECEE, QM,

     TAMC, COC, COC-CST.
