Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Exemption

The Regulatory Authority of Bermuda published a memo and informed that, effective Feb 14, 2025, Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi only devices are no longer required individual applications for Type Approval.

However, manufacturers and importers must still ensure full compliance with all applicable technical and regulatory standards including markings/labels for lawful operation within Bermuda which established by the following governing bodies.

● The Federal Communications Commission of the United States of America (FCC)

● The Canadian Standards Association International (ISED)

● The United Kingdom/European Union (ETSI)
