South Korea increased output power limit for indoor use of WLAN devices in 5925-6425MHz

Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of South Korea published official notification No. 2026-10 dated February 10, 2026 making below changes to the Technical Standards for Wireless Equipment for Wireless Stations that can be established without reporting.

 

1. Increasing power output limit of WLAN devices in 5925-6425MHz for below uses:

Frequency band	Occupied frequency bandwidth	Radiated power including antenna absolute gain	Usage
5925-6425MHz	Up to 320MHz	Less than 5dBm/MHz	Used only within buildings
5925-6425MHz	Up to 320MHz	Less than 5dBm/MHz	Used only inside subways

 

2. Adding radio transmission format (ASK) used by new Bluetooth technology.
