Palestine (West Bank) - The new responsible authority for type approval and regulating the telecommunications sector.

Recently, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) assumed responsibility for type approval from the Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy (MTDE).

The Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) was established under Decree Law No. 15 of 2009 and further regulated under Decree Law No. 37 of 2021, which aims to organize the telecommunications and information technology sector in Palestine.

There is no impact on the type approval requirements and application procedures. The certificate format remains the same, and the MTDE name has been replaced with the TRA at the time being.
