CRA Issues an Updated Version of the Class License for Short-Range Devices Version 5 (2024).
On November 10, 2024, The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) published the fifth version of the Class License for Short-Range Devices after reviewing feedback received from stakeholders and interested parties on the public consultation document published on CRA's website in the second quarter of this year.
The fifth version of the Class License for Short-Range Devices includes additional frequency bands with new values and greater flexibility related to permitted transmit power values in response to recent developments in radiocommunication devices and their applications.
The important update is that the CRA allows the UWB technology for the devices installed in road and rail vehicles, and the WIFI 6E band (5925-6425MHz) has been added to the local area network (WAN/RLAN) section.

CRA Issued a Class License regulation related to Wi-Fi 6E.
On April 26, 2022, the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) published the provisions of the Class License for the use of Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) devices over the lower part of the 6GHz band with references (CRA/SM/TA/001/2022).
The CRA announced with immediate effect, the lower part of the 6 GHz band (5925-6425MHz) is available and allocated under the Class Licensing regime for the use of RLAN devices.
