Botswana BOCRA Type Approval Certificate Collection Cut-Off Date
The Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) is in the process of finalizing the deployment of a new Type Approval Management System. In preparation for this transition, all Type Approval requestors are advised to ensure that all pending or invoiced applications are collected by Friday, 25 July 2025. This date marks the official cut-off for processing and issuing certificates under the the current system.
Please note:
• No Type Approval certificates, including corrected certificates, will be issued from the old system after 25 July 2025.
• Only New Applications shall be accepted and processed through the new system.

Botswana BOCRA start issuing Type Approval Certificates for exempted device
Botswana BOCRA informed that they started issuing Type Approval Certificates for exempted products since January 2024. These exempted devices must pass the verification and validation of the Type Approval process. Applications will be processed by Technical Engineers to determine if the said equipment fits the exemption criteria or not.
