Colombia CRC Enforces Mobile Registration
Starting March of 2013, Colombia CRC (Comision de Regulacion de Comunicaciones ) will start to track IMEI number of the cell phones. This anti- theft function could effectively protect users from unauthorized use. Users are required to register their phone number and IMEI number online to make sure the phone owner’s information match with the phone user. Any users that do not comply by the deadline face having their phone blocked and ceasing to function if they change the SIM card.
