The Autorité de Régulation des Communications Électroniques et de La Poste (ARCEP) published another decision for type approval procedure on 8th October, 2025 including the label requirement. The amendment to this decision was subsequently issued on 8th January 2026.
After receiving several inquiries regarding the type approval requirements, ARCEP Issued a document providing Answers to questions raised following the notification of the new type approval regulations. The document further clarified the requirements established by the decision of October 8th, 2025 and the Amendment of January 8, 2026.
The main points are as below:
1. It is not required to affix label on equipment that obtained the approval before October 8th, 2025.
2. The label format as below should include NGR logo, manufacturer name, brand name and model number.
3. A physical sample is not necessary if the submitted document complies with the authority’s requirements.
