Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (SUBTEL) published its official FAQ page for “Equipos de Alcance Reducido” (SRD) on January 15, 2026. This FAQ is derived from and intended to clarify the Resolution 2219 EXENTA (2025) and Resolution 737 EXENTA (2025), particularly in relation to QR code labeling requirements.
The FAQ clarifies that the QR code regulation specifies only its basic function and certain characteristics, allowing regulated parties flexibility in how the QR code is implemented. As long as the manufacturer, importer, or legal representative meet the regulatory requirements, they may include additional information or materials if considered helpful for compliance.
