Home arrow-rootBrazil - ANATEL authorized the use of the 802.11be nomenclature

The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) officially authorized the use of the 802.11be nomenclature. With this update, Certificate of Conformity can list the WiFi 7 (802.11be) technology now.

Previously, ANATEL allowed the approval and testing of WiFi 7 (802.11be) products, but did not permit listing “WiFi 7” or “802.11be” in certification documents. Instead, OCDs were required to use terms like Modulation and Bandwidth to describe the technology.

The testing required for WiFi 7 (802.11be) is stated in ANATEL Act 14448, item 11.7. These requirements align with those for WiFi 6E.
Please find the official link for Act 14448 as below.
