Vietnam Authority Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) recently published Circular No. 04/2023/TT-BTTTT dated May 31, 2023about the list of products requiring Type Approval Certificate (TAC) and/or Declaration of Conformity (DoC). 

This Circular will come into effect on July 15, 2023to replace Circular No. 02/2022/TT-BTTTT. Compared to the previous Circular, several changes were made:

1. The national technical standard QCVN18 was updated to QCVN 18:2022.

2. Some HS codes were updated.

3. Added new safety requirements of QCVN 132:2022 for many types of products such

    as Desktop PC, laptop/tablet/TV from January 1st, 2024.

4. The description of some product type was updated:

-Appendix I, item 2.3 “Broadband data transmission equipment operating in the 2.4 GHz band with an equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP) between 60 mWand 200 mW”. Previously it was “from 60 mWor upwards”.

-Appendix II, item 4.4 “Wireless charging device”. Previously, it was “Inductive loop device”.
