The homologation application process under the new TELCOR regulations published in Official Gazette No. 215 on November 18, 2025, has now resumed. The authority has clarified through email that homologation is required only for equipment included in the Restricted Use Equipment List.
1. TELCOR has confirmed that homologation applications are currently accepted only for equipment included in the official Restricted Use Equipment List:
www.telcor.gob.ni/listado-de-equipo-de-uso-restringidos/
If a device does not fall within this list, it is considered not subject to homologation.
2. For equipment included in the restricted list, a Constancia de No Objeción (NOC)
is required for customs clearance.
• Homologation approval must be obtained first.
• The NOC is valid for 180 days and must be requested again for each importation.
3. Please be reminded that labeling is required for approved equipment, the authority
has also clarified the following labeling options:
• The authority may accept the use of E-label if the homologation certificate number
can be permanently accessed through the device software.
• For small devices where there is insufficient space to place the label on the device
itself, the labeling information may be included in the user manual.
We will continue monitoring the situation and provide further updates as more information becomes available.
