Home  TRC published a new type approval regulation in September 2025 |

On 16 September 2025, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRC) officially released the adopted version of "Instructions No. (2) of 2025 – Instructions on the Conditions and Procedures for Obtaining Approval to Import, Use, Possess, and Trade in Telecommunications Equipment and Terminal Telecommunications Equipment in the Kingdom.
We have observed a few minor amendments related to the type approval process and instructions. The required documents and certificate validity remain the same; however, the authority has added more products to the exemption list, such as (Wireless charger, GPS navigation devices, without any functions or parts of high-power radio communication, Wireless Mouse, and Wireless Keyboard, ...... others).
There is no transition period for applying the new instructions-the new instructions took effect immediately upon publication on 16 September 2025.
