The Thailand NBTC has recently issued draft technical standards and criteria for radar and general-use frequency bands, inviting public comments until 3 July 2026.
Drafts open for comment include:
1) Criteria for the use of radio frequencies and radar communication equipment permitted for general use.
2) NBTC TS 10xx-256x Technical standard for radar with non-specific application
3) NBTC TS 1011-256x Technical standard for radar for traffic and land transportation
4) Criteria of using frequency and radiocommunication equipment that are authorized to use in general (Issue 2)
5) NBTC TS 10xx-256x Technical standard for radiocommunication equipment that are used in general frequency 57-64 GHz
The summary comparison table of key points between existing regulations and the new draft regulations proposed in 2026 is provided below for better understanding.
Pls note that these are draft standards only. The formal NBTC announcement is expected at the end of 2026 or later.
The effective date will be the day after official publication.
